Psalm 91 God Our Protector

Avery strong and powerful prayer for those who need them. Try to memorize it by heart so that while we need it urgently, we have it in our mind. Personally, I find this prayer very powerful and  indeed miraculous.

1. Whoever goes to the Lord for safety, whoever remains under the protection of the Almighty.
2. Can say to Him, "You are my defender and protector, You are my God; in You I trust."
3. He will keep you safe from all hidden dangers and from all deadly diseases.
4. He will cover you with His wings; you will be safe in His care; His faithfulness will protect and
    defend you.
5. You need not fear any dangers at night or sudden attacks during the day.
6. Or the plagues that strike in the dark or the evils that kill in daylight.
7. A thousand may fall dead beside you, ten thousand all around you, but you will not be harmed.
8. You will look and see how the wicked are punished.
9. You have made the Lord your defender, the Most high your protector.
10. And so no disaster will strike you, no violence will come near your home.
11. God will put His angels in charge of you to protect you wherever you go.
12. They will hold you up with their hands to keep you from hurting your feet on the stones.
13. You will trample down lions and snakes, fierce lions and poisonous snakes.
14. God says, I will save those who love me and I will protect those who acknowledge me as Lord.
15. When they call to me, I will answer them; when they are in trouble, I will be with them, I will
      rescue them and honor them.
16. I will reward them with long life; and I will save them.

English Roman Catholic Mass

The Mass can be basically divided into 4 sections which can be summed up in one word each:

  • Come - We come together in Mass as one Body, gathering before our Lord.
  • Listen - Listening to the Bible readings, the word of our Lord and Homily.
  • Do - Praying and participating in the Eucharist, becoming one with him.
  • Go - The sendoff where we bring this message to all the world.

Come

Entrance Procession: Priest, deacon, altar servers and lectors enter the church for celebration of the liturgy.

Entrance Hymn/ Song or Gathering Hymn: The song/music which takes place during the entrance procession.

Veneration of the Altar: The reverencing of the Altar with a kiss by the bishop or priest who presides at the service followed by the other bishops, priests, and deacons, and the optional use of incense.

Greeting: The celebrant greets all present at the liturgy, announcing the presence of the Lord to the assembled community.

Penitential Rite: A general acknowledgment of sinfulness by the entire assembly, accompanied by request for God's mercy and forgiveness.

Gloria: Ancient hymn of praise to glorify God. It is used on all Sundays (outside of Advent and Lent) and solemn celebrations. The text originates from the Christmas narrative in the Gospel of Luke (Luke 2:14).

Opening Prayer: This prayer by the celebrant expresses the general theme of the celebration.

Listen

Liturgy of the Word: The Liturgy of the Word contains scripture readings that are proclaimed and reflected upon. Usually there are three readings: an Old Testament selection, a New Testament selection (from the books other than the Gospels), and the Gospel reading. A responsorial psalm occurs between the Old Testament and the New Testament readings.

Responsorial Psalm: Between the first and second readings, a psalm is spoken or sung by the entire assembly. The response is repeated after each verse. If sung, a cantor or choir sings the verses of the psalm.

Alleluia Acclamation: This acclamation of praise to God follows the second reading and prepares the assembly for the Gospel.

Homily: The homily (sermon) is a reflection by the celebrant or other minister on the Scripture readings and the application of the texts in the daily lives of the assembled community.

Do

Profession of Faith: The assembly together recalls and proclaims the fundamental teachings of the Roman Catholic faith. The Profession of Faith, also referred to as the Creed, is used on all Sundays and Holy Days. The profession of faith may be either the Nicene Creed or the Apostles' Creed.

General Intercessions:  Prayer of intercessions for the Church, civil authorities, those with various needs and for the needs and salvation of the world. The celebrant invites all to pray, another minister proclaims the prayers of petition and the assembly responds by asking God to hear and to grant their request.

Liturgy of the Eucharist: The Liturgy of the Eucharist is the section of the celebration when the gifts of bread and wine are prepared and the Eucharist Prayer is proclaimed by the celebrant, and the Blessed Sacrament (Eucharist, Communion) is distributed to the assembly.

Preparation of the Gifts: The bread and wine to be used in the celebration are brought to the celebrant, usually by representatives of the faithful.

Offertory Hymn/ Song: Music used during the presentation of gifts to the celebrant and as the altar is prepared for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

Washing of Hands: An expression of the desire for inward purification. The celebrant washes his hand in symbolic cleansing to prepare himself just as the gifts have been prepared as an offering to the Lord.

Prayer Over the Gifts: The prayer by the celebrant asking that the gifts to be offered be made holy and acceptable in the eyes of the Lord.

Preface Dialogue: The introductory dialogue between the celebrant and assembly in which all are invited to join in prayer and thanksgiving to God called the Sanctus or Holy, Holy, Holy. The community responds to the preface and continues the general theme of praise and thanks.

Eucharistic Prayer: The prayer of thanksgiving and sanctification. It is the center and high point of the celebration. During the Eucharistic Prayer, the church believes that the bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Included in the Eucharistic Prayer that are:

Consecration: The prayer and blessing during which the bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.

Memorial Acclamation: The priest declares the mystery of faith and the congregation responds.

Intercessions: A series of prayer for the Church, the world, the Pope, clergy and laity and the dead.

Final Doxology: A final prayer of praise of God.

Amen: Also called the Great Amen. It is the acclamation by the people expressing their agreement with all that has been said and done in the Eucharistic prayer.

The Lord's Prayer (Our Father): The prayer of our petition for our needs and forgiveness of our sins.

Doxology: The response of the people acclaiming the sovereignty of God.

Sign of Peace:  Before sharing the Body of Christ the members of the assembly are invited to express their love and peace with one another, usually through shaking hands or a kiss.

Breaking of the Bread: The celebrant carries out the gesture of Christ at the Last Supper when he broke the bread to give to his disciples. The action signifies that in communion the many are made one in the one Bread of Life which is Christ.

Lamb of God (Agnus Dei): An invocation during the breaking of the bread in which the assembly petitions God for mercy and peace.

Holy Communion: After saying a preparatory prayer, the celebrant (or other designated ministers) gives communion (the consecrated bread and wine which has been changed to the body and blood of Jesus Christ) to himself and the other ministers at the altar, and then communion is distributed to the congregation.

Communion Song: The music that is sung as the consecrated bread and wine- The Body and Blood of Christ- is distributed to the faithful.

Prayer after Communion: The final prayer by the celebrant in which he petitions that the Sacrament be beneficial for all.

Go

Concluding Rite: The brief rite which consists of the celebrant's greeting to all present, final blessing and dismissal; followed by a concluding song and a concluding procession.

Prayers

A Morning Prayer is a quick way to offer yourself and your whole day to God. Besides from the busy routines of ourselves, spare a few minutes when you get up to God.

  • Morning Prayer
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in thanksgiving for your favors, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all my relatives and friends, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father. Amen.

Most Christians say grace before meals to give thanks to the Lord. Grace is an important part of daily Catholic prayer. This is often the first way that children are exposed to a life of prayer.

  • Grace Before Meals

Bless us, O Lord, and these thy gifts, which we are about to receive from thy bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

A brief minute just before starting work is another important opportunity for prayer. This daily Catholic prayer is from an ancient form of the Litany of the Saints.

  • Prayer Before A Day's Work
Direct, we beg you, O Lord, our actions by your holy inspirations, and grant that we may carry them out with your gracious assistance, that every prayer and work of ours may begin always with you, and through you be happily ended. Amen.

Catholic Rosary

In the Roman Catholic Religion, the Rosary is one of the most beautiful and sacred prayers. The Rosary is a devotion to God through a devotion to Mary. The Rosary consists of a series of prayers. The Rosary offers hope when life can be unbearable.

What is a Rosary?

A simple Rosary consists of strings of beads which includes a crucifix. Rosary beads are made from many types of material, such as pearl, hematite, crystal, glass, rose petals, and wood. Rosaries can be any color, shape or size.

Using the Rosary beads

We use the Rosary beads to help us count the prayers. We go once around all the beads to pray all the Joyful Mysteries, the same for the Luminous Mysteries and so on. Below is how we use the Rosary beads:
  1.  Make the Sign of the Cross and pray the 'Apostle's Creed'.
  2. Pray the 'Our Father'.
  3. Pray '3 Hail Marys'.
  4. Pray the 'Glory be to the Father'.
  5. Announce the First Mystery, then pray the 'Our Father'.
  6. Pray 10 'Hail Marys' while meditating on the Mystery.
  7. Pray the 'Glory be to the Father'.
  8. Announce the Second Mystery, then pray the 'Our Father'. Repeat steps 6 and 7 and continue with Third, Fourth, and Fifth Mysteries in the same manner.
  9. After the Rosary, pray the Hail, Holy Queen.
The Prayers Of The Rosary

Sign of The Cross
In the name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Apostles Creed
I BELIEVE in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of Heaven and Earth,
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit,
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the Third Day he rose again.
He ascended into Heaven
and is seated at the Right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
* I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body and live everlasting. Amen.

Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallow by Thy Name,
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth
as it is in heaven.
* Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses (sins)
as we forgive those who trespass (sins) against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace! The Lord is with thee (you),
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary
Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the our of our death. Amen.

Glory Be
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
* As it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.

Hail, Holy Queen
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
hail our life, our sweetness and our hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve,
to thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then, O most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy towards us,
and after this our exile,
show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O Clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

- Pray for us O Holy Mother of God,
That we may be made worthy
of the promises of Christ.

- Let us pray.
O GOD, whose only begotten Son,
by His life, death, and resurrection,
has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life,
grant, we beseech thee,
that meditating upon these Mysteries
of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
we may imitate what they contain
and obtain what they promise,
through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.

After each Decade
you may pray the following prayer which was requested by the Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima:
"O My Jesus, forgive our sins,
save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven,
especially those who are most in need of your mercy".

Foods that Feed Your Sex Drive

There are foods that boost energy, sharpen memory and even fight flab. But the snacks here serve a sexier purpose. They basically improve your sex life. Hehe..Feast on your favorites to feel friskier and wilder.

Hot Chilies

Capsaicin, a chemical found in fiery and hot peppers increases circulation to get blood pumping and stimulates nerve endings so that you'll feel more turned on.

Avocados and Asparagus

The Vitamin E in these green eats helps your body churn up hormones like testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone which circulates in your bloodstream and stimulate sexual responses like clitoral swelling and vaginal lubrication.

Bananas

Another reason to think or imagine about sex is when you wrap you lips around this phallus-shaped fruit. Chiquitas deliver potassium. A nutrient key to muscle strength. So when you orgasm, the contractions will be super-intense.

Chocolate

Cocoa contains the chemical phenylethylamine, a stimulant that conjures just a sort of subtle feelings of well-being and excitement that makes sex feel like a great idea.

Oysters

We know that Oysters as an aphrodisiac sounds so cliched, but that really can create sparks. These shellfish are full of zinc, a mineral that cranks up the production of testosterone, which has been linked to a higher sex drive.

Pomegranates

The pomegranates owes its passion powers to antioxidants, which protects our lining of our blood vessels, which allows more blood to flow through them. It increases genitals sensitivity.

Red Wine

Red Wine contains resveratrol, an antioxidant that help boost blood flow and improves circulation before and after an intercourse.

Salmon & Walnuts

They are packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which keeps sex-hormones production at it's peak. Pumpkinseeds & flaxseeds also contain the good stuff.

 Vanilla

Ice Cream flavored with this sweet bean. It mildly stimulates nerves, making sexual sensations feel even better.

Watermelon

A watermelon martini would do. The juicy fruit contains the phytonutrient citrulline. It leads to an uptick in the amount of nitric oxide in your body. That spike causes blood vessels to relax and speeds up circulation. As a result, you get aroused in lesser time.

ENJOY GUYS!

Different Age Gap?

Is marrying a girl elder to you against your religion?? Or beliefs?? Or will your parents object it??

It was a belief that a man should marry a woman who is younger to him. In olden days, people used to follow a rule that the girl should be 10 - 15 years younger for a guy to marry her. And slowly the age gap reduced.

Now, we can see many situations where guys are marrying girls who are elder to them. Is that right? Lets take an example, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar who is an Indian Cricketer widely regarded as one of the greatest batsman in the history of cricket. He was born on 24th April 1973 (aged 37) married his wife Anjali in 1995 which is born on 10th November 1967 (aged 43). They were gifted with 2 sons, Sara & Arjun.

What do you have to say for a 6 years age gap? Does that make them weird or unloving??

How about our famous theoretical physicist who is widely regarded as one of the most influential scientists of all time and the greatest physicists ever, Albert Einstein. He was born on 14th March 1879 (aged 24) married his wife Mileva Maric which was born on 19th December 1875 (aged 28). It was his first marriage though. She was Albert Einstein's fellow student and was one of the first woman who study mathematics and physics in Europe and later became his first wife. They had a daughter Lieserl Einstein which was born a year earlier before their marriage. In 1904, he had a son, Hans Albert Einstein and on 1910 another son named Eduard Einstein. In his second marriage, he married Elsa Einstein which was born on 18th January 1876 (aged 43) and Albert Einstein (aged 40). It was his first cousin.
Is it convincing enough. They were all happy too. They are all famous people around the world with their wifes.

How about Mohandas Karamchan Gandhi or known as Mahathma Gandhi? He was born on 2nd October 1869 (aged 14) arranged child marriage with his wife Kasturba Gandhi (aged 14) in 1883. The difference was the month where Mahathma Gandhi was born on 2nd October while Kasturba Gandhi was born on 11th April. A 6 months difference. They then had 4 sons, the 1st one was in the year 1888, named Harilal Gandhi, Manilal Gandhi, Ramdas Gandhi and finally Devdas Gandhi.

Any change of perception towards age gap now?? Guess so. Well if you guys observe, as I was going through the Indian history books, I caught hold of cases were like this. In Ramayana (an ancient Sanskrit Epic), Sita is elder than Rama. Draupadi is elder to some of her husbands and why go so far, Radha is elder to Krishna. If gods are truly correct in their paths, why are we wrong?? Why humans have to treat it as a mistake?

Scientifically there are reasons and theories for this to happen. I'm not judging or putting anyone down but women are sharp in actions and thoughts rather compared to men. Hence to make wife equal to husband, people started maintaining a gap in age. But this doesn't mean that men are dumb or any other reasons compared to women. To me, I treat men and women equally. Why do we have to say or conclude that men are higher a level compared to women?? They are both human beings, not god right? Treat them equally.

How about Hollywood then?

Ashton Kutcher born on 7th February 1978 (aged 32) & Demi Moore born on 11th November 1962 (aged 48) a crushing 16 years of gap. "The younger man is attracted to the older woman most likely because of her poise, her social graces. She has a polish he hasn't yet acquired" says Dr. Joyce Brothers of the younger man-older woman dynamic.

Guy Ritchie born on 10th September 1968 (aged 41) & Madonna born on 16th August 1958 (aged 51) didn't have a problem in their 10 year age gap. They are still a great loving couple.

Tim Robbins born on 16th October 1958 (aged 51) & Susan Sarandon born on 4th October 1946 (aged 64) with a difference of 13 years of age gap.
link: Tim Robbins  ; Susan Sarandon

Lance Armstrong born on 18th September 1971 (aged 39) & Sheryl Crow born on 11th February 1962 (aged 48). A 9 year difference didn't separate them.
link: Lance Armstrong  ; Sheryl Crow

Justin Timberlake born on 31st January 1981 (aged 29) & Cameron Diaz born on 30th August 1972 (aged 38) with a 9 year gap. There were rumors that they had broke up in 2007.

Age definitely isn't a matter. The most important thing in a relationship is mutual trust & most about being honest deep down from your heart. Love your partner & your relationship will turn perfect.

I'm sharing with you guys. Me and my fiancee are 2 years difference. She's older than me but that doesn't stop me from loving her. Never put age as a boundary in basically everything you do or say. I love her more than my life & we are happy with our relationship.
