Psalm 91 God Our Protector

Avery strong and powerful prayer for those who need them. Try to memorize it by heart so that while we need it urgently, we have it in our mind. Personally, I find this prayer very powerful and  indeed miraculous. 

1. Whoever goes to the Lord for safety, whoever remains under the protection of the Almighty.

2. Can say to Him, "You are my defender and protector, You are my God; in You I trust."

3. He will keep you safe from all hidden dangers and from all deadly diseases.

4. He will cover you with His wings; you will be safe in His care; His faithfulness will protect and

    defend you.

5. You need not fear any dangers at night or sudden attacks during the day.

6. Or the plagues that strike in the dark or the evils that kill in daylight.

7. A thousand may fall dead beside you, ten thousand all around you, but you will not be harmed.

8. You will look and see how the wicked are punished.

9. You have made the Lord your defender, the Most high your protector.

10. And so no disaster will strike you, no violence will come near your home.

11. God will put His angels in charge of you to protect you wherever you go.

12. They will hold you up with their hands to keep you from hurting your feet on the stones.

13. You will trample down lions and snakes, fierce lions and poisonous snakes.

14. God says, I will save those who love me and I will protect those who acknowledge me as Lord.

15. When they call to me, I will answer them; when they are in trouble, I will be with them, I will

      rescue them and honor them.

16. I will reward them with long life; and I will save them.

A Morning Prayer is a quick way to offer yourself and your whole day to God. Besides from the busy routines of ourselves, spare a few minutes when you get up to God.

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in thanksgiving for your favors, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all my relatives and friends, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father. Amen. 

Most Christians say grace before meals to give thanks to the Lord. Grace is an important part of daily Catholic prayer. This is often the first way that children are exposed to a life of prayer.

Catholic Rosary

In the Roman Catholic Religion, the Rosary is one of the most beautiful and sacred prayers. The Rosary is a devotion to God through a devotion to Mary. The Rosary consists of a series of prayers. The Rosary offers hope when life can be unbearable.

What is a Rosary?

A simple Rosary consists of strings of beads which includes a crucifix. Rosary beads are made from many types of material, such as pearl, hematite, crystal, glass, rose petals, and wood. Rosaries can be any color, shape or size.

Using the Rosary beads

We use the Rosary beads to help us count the prayers. We go once around all the beads to pray all the Joyful Mysteries, the same for the Luminous Mysteries and so on. Below is how we use the Rosary beads:

1.  Make the Sign of the Cross and pray the 'Apostle's Creed'.
2. Pray the 'Our Father'.
3. Pray '3 Hail Marys'.
4. Pray the 'Glory be to the Father'.
5. Announce the First Mystery, then pray the 'Our Father'.
6. Pray 10 'Hail Marys' while meditating on the Mystery.
7. Pray the 'Glory be to the Father'.
8. Announce the Second Mystery, then pray the 'Our Father'. Repeat steps 6 and 7 and continue with Third, Fourth, and Fifth Mysteries in the same manner.
9. After the Rosary, pray the Hail, Holy Queen.

Apostles Creed
I BELIEVE in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of Heaven and Earth,
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit,
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the Third Day he rose again.

Our Father

Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the our of our death. Amen.

Glory Be
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,

Hail, Holy Queen
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
hail our life, our sweetness and our hope.

Turn then, O most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy towards us,

After each Decade
you may pray the following prayer which was requested by the Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima:
"O My Jesus, forgive our sins,
save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven,
especially those who are most in need of your mercy".


When are different Mysteries prayed?

The Joyful Mysteries are normally prayed on Monday and Saturday.
The Luminous Mysteries are on Thursday,
The Sorrowful Mysteries on Tuesday and Friday,
The Glorious Mysteries are on Wednesday and Sunday.
*(Except on Sundays of the Christmas Season, when we pray the Joyful Mysteries, and on Sundays of Lent we pray the Sorrowful Mysteries).
